Parco delle DUNE COSTIERE: the Director Dr. Eng. Arch. Angela MILONE participates in the Institutional Meeting of the Puglia Region regarding the new Bathing Ordinance 2020

The park of the Coastal Dunes continues to follow the different categories of operators in the tourism sector on the question of reopening.  Yesterday from 12 to 14.30 the Park Director Eng. Arch. Angela Milone participated in live streaming in the institutional meeting held in order to define and make public the long-awaited bathing ordinance ca. Meeting wanted and directed by the Regional Councilor Avv. Raffaele Piemontese to which among others were invited the Ministry of Health, the Apulian Ausl, the ARPA, the main trade unions, the Maritime Directorate of the Port Authority and five protected areas of Puglia including the Coastal Dune Park. In conclusion, the bathing ordinance was approved unanimously and will be available to everyone from tomorrow, the same consists of 7 large articles which list the rules for summer 2020. The bathing ordinance in some cases explicitly explains better what reported in the ordinance of the President of the Regional Council n. 237 of May 17, 2020 (which in turn incorporates the government guidelines of May 15, 2020). Basically, it will be possible to reopen from May 25, the umbrellas and deckchairs will occupy a minimum of 10 square meters of space with a distance between rows of 3 m and umbrellas in the same row of 3.40 m interchangeable depending on the type of beach. Other changes compared to the ordinances of the past years will be represented by the exclusive use of showers, changing rooms and bathing facilities for customers only, for the sole purpose of compulsory user censuses, as an anti-Covid 19 measure, therefore the latter will be barred from patrons , who instead can take advantage of the bar and restaurants, if any. The ordinance does not mention pets, because it will refer to the Regional Law n. 56 of 2018, except to correct the expiry date of the related requests (for the Law the request had to be sent by March, in this regard we will try to interface with the region - tourism department - because in fact to date the requests have not have been forwarded due to the uncertainty caused by the pandemic) .Among the obligations for the Municipalities - art.5, with reference to the free beaches, the latter are given the possibility, for surveillance purposes, to turn to volunteers and / or Bodies Public or private under an agreement. The Park and the operators present in it immediately become available for this possibility offered by the bathing ordinance. The Park Director personally thanks the Piedmontese regional councilor for the meeting held in full clarity and with an open dialogue to the needs of the sector operators.
